Die Fiat Werbekampagnen in den USA waren laut Medien ein Erfolg und so konnten die Zulassungen des Fiat 500 weiter gesteigert werden. 4.051 Fiat 500 Modelle wurden im Mai zugelassen - neuer Rekord !

17.562 Modelle wurden bisher in diesem Jahr zugelassen, eine Steigerung von 5 % gegenüber dem Vorjahr.

In Nordamerika wurden seit 2011 über 100.000 Fiat 500er verkauft. Im späten Sommer wird der 500e lanciert. Und im Juni kommt der 500L in die Verkaufsräume, was neue Rekorde bescheren wird

Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio: Best Small Convertible

Score another win for the Fiat 500! The Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio has just been voted Best Small Convertible by the Southern Automotive Media Association (SAMA) during its third annual "Topless in Miami" event. The event brings together automotive journalists from around the Southern Florida area and has them choose the best open top cars available.

This year, the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio was selected, beating out the Volkswagen Beetle, Mazda MX-5 Miata and Smart EV. This is the third consecutive year that SAMA has picked a Fiat. In 2011, the Fiat 500 Cabrio took top honors, followed in 2012 by the Fiat 500 by Gucci Cabrio.



Jason Stoicevich, Head of FIAT Brand North America, released a statement saying:,

“We want to thank SAMA for recognizing the FIAT brand for the third consecutive time. The Fiat 500 Abarth is the most affordable and fuel-efficient high-performance car in America, and now the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio gives you a front-row seat to better hear the raspy signature sound of the Abarth-tuned dual exhausts.”

With Chrysler Group's May sales announced earlier today, FIAT brand reached a new milestone with more than 100,000 units of the new Fiat 500 sold in North America since the brand's return in 2011.

In 2012 alone, Fiat 500 sales in the U.S., Canada and Mexico were more than 50,000. That's a 111% increase over the previous year.

Let me help you visualize the magnitude of this achievement. Imagine 100,000 Fiat 500s lined up end to end on an East coast highway. They would roughly extend 220 miles. That's the approximate distance from New York City to Washington, DC. Or, if you could line them up – way up – they would reach the average height of the International Space Station. That's a lot of distance for the relatively small Fiat 500!



That's not the end of the impressive numbers. Earlier this year, the one-millionth Fiat 500 rolled off the Fiat Auto Poland production line. Also, since its international re-launch in 2007, the Cinquecento has been sold in more than 100 countries around the world!

In May, the FIAT brand celebrated 15 consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains and its best month so far this year.

The numbers don't stop there. With commercials that transcend the typical goal of selling cars, several spots, including “Seduction,” “Immigrants” and “House Arrest,” have each reached the several million mark when it comes to views on YouTube.

There's more excitement in store from the FIAT brand. The product lineup is expanding. The all-new 2014 Fiat 500L begins arriving at FIAT studios in the U.S. this month, bringing contemporary Italian design, four doors and extra space and value with a starting price of $19,100.

Also coming this summer to California is the all-new 2013 Fiat 500e electric vehicle.

Mit einer außergewöhnlichen Kampagne beschäftigt der Abarth 500 momentan die Fans der Marke auf der ganzen Welt. Wer im sozialen Netzwerk Twitter auf der Seite des italienischen Sportwagens (www.twitter.com/abarth500_de) die Schaltfläche „Folgen" anklickt, erhält die unverfrorene Absage: „#Zero Followers. Abarth 500. Too fast to follow." Diese natürlich nicht ganz ernst gemeinte Nachricht ist offensichtlich Ansporn für zahlreiche Internetnutzer, es erst recht zu versuchen - der Abarth 500 hat mittlerweile Tausende von „Follower", sogar in den USA, in Indien, Brasilien und Australien.

Wer sich nicht abschrecken lässt, erhält im nächsten Schritt Informationen zu einem Gegenmittel gegen den kolportierten Mangel an Geschwindigkeit - eine Einladung zu „Kurvengier". Mit dieser ungewöhnlichen Aktion ermöglicht Abarth seinen Fans Probefahrten mit dem 118 kW (160 PS) starken Abarth 595 und dem Abarth 500 (103 kW/140 PS). Und zwar auf abgesperrten Pisten unter der Anleitung professioneller Instrukteure. „Kurvengier" findet auf insgesamt sechs Rennstrecken in Deutschland und Österreich statt.
